Dogs with the Furnishings variant shed less than dogs with a smooth muzzle and shed even less when the Reduced Shedding variant is present.
How it works
One or two copies of the Reduced Shedding variant is likely to reduce a dog's tendency to shed. Copies of the Furnishings variant, particularly two, also reduce the tendency of a dog to shed.
Prevalence
7 in 10 dogs
have one or more copy of this genetic variant in our testing.
